Terms of Service
These are the rules of using Knockwork, written to be actually read. By creating an account you agree to them.
What the service is
Knockwork is software that applies to jobs on your behalf: it finds postings, completes application forms on employer hiring sites, tailors your resume per posting, and by default stops before submitting so you can review. You direct it and you remain the applicant.
Your responsibilities
- Your information must be true. The bot fills forms from the profile and background you provide. If you put false credentials in, false credentials go on real job applications, and that is on you.
- You are the applicant of record. Applications are submitted under your name, your email, and accounts created for you. Review what the bot prepared, especially before turning off stop-before-submit.
- Your keys, your bills. AI and captcha usage runs on API keys you bring and is billed to you by those providers under their terms.
- Follow the sites' rules. Job boards and employer sites have their own terms of use. Automated interaction with a site may be restricted by that site, and you accept that risk when you point the bot at it. Accounts on those sites can be limited or closed by their owners.
What we promise, and what we don't
- We work to make the bot accurate, honest about its own progress, and safe by default. When it is not sure, it stops and tells you.
- We do not promise interviews, offers, or that any particular application goes through. Hiring systems change constantly and some runs fail.
- The service is provided as-is, and our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months.
Acceptable use
Do not use Knockwork to misrepresent your identity or qualifications, apply as another person without their permission, spam employers, or probe systems you have no business with. We can close accounts that do.
Subscription and cancellation
The subscription covers the hosted service. Cancel anytime; access runs to the end of the paid period. Your API keys are yours and keep working with their providers regardless of your subscription status.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect.
