Connect the bot
Your account and setup live in the cloud. These checks plug the bot into Chrome on this computer.

You're on a phone or tablet
Your account is created and everything you save is kept. Nothing to redo. But Knockwork
does its work inside Google Chrome on a computer, so the rest of the setup happens there.
Once it's set up, you CAN come back to this phone or tablet to start and watch applications remotely.
Or type this address into Chrome on your computer. It signs you straight in:
The link works once and expires in 30 minutes. You can always come back here for a fresh one.

Google Chrome
You're not in Google Chrome right now.
Knockwork's bot works inside Google Chrome, but your account and everything you save live in the cloud. Nothing is lost, you just need to continue in Chrome.
- Don't have Chrome yet? Download Google Chrome and install it.
- Then open Chrome and go to this address. It signs you straight into your account, nothing to redo:

The Knockwork extension
The extension is the part that actually fills out applications in your browser.
- Download the extension
- Unzip the downloaded file (double-click it).
- In Chrome, open
chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right), click Load unpacked, and pick the unzipped folder.
Still not seeing it? The usual causes, in order:
- At
chrome://extensions, make sure the Knockwork card is there and its toggle is on, with no red error text on the card. - When you clicked Load unpacked, you must pick the unzipped
knockworkfolder itself, the one that hasmanifest.jsondirectly inside it, not the folder around it and not the .zip. - Make sure you're doing this in Google Chrome itself, not Edge, Brave, or another browser.

Connect the extension to your account
One click connects the extension you just installed to your account, so it applies as you.
Why is this happening?
Connect sends a one-time code to the extension. The extension exchanges it for a private account token, saves that token in Chrome, then checks that Chrome can read it back. Your account data stays in the cloud.
If the message mentions local storage, the extension received the request but Chrome did not confirm the save. Reload the Knockwork card at chrome://extensions, then try again. If it still fails, download the current extension, replace the files in the same folder, reload the card, and try Connect again.
